Eclipse Trailer - The Volturi

Video shows the Volturi Forces

Eclipse’ Rating will be PG 13

The Motion Picture Association of America's Classification and Ratings Administration released their weekly ratings bulletin this morning, which included a rating for the highly anticipated third part of The Twilight Saga.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse received a PG-13 rating for "intense sequences of action and violence, and some sensuality." Both Twilight and New Moon were PG-13 as well, but for slightly different, and somewhat telling, reasons: Twilight garnered its rating due to "some violence and a scene of sensuality," while New Moon earned it for "some violence and action."

Confirming what the most recent trailer suggested, Eclipse's rating indicates that the action quotient has been ramped up compared to the first two movies. It appears that Eclipse's marketing will try to build on this in order to attract action-seeking males who have been unmoved by Edward and Bella's love story up to this point. At the very least, more action may serve to make the movie more tolerable for the males that are dragged to see Eclipse.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens Wednesday, June 30, and faces M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender over Independence Day weekend.

Kristen Stewart Says Bella's Not As 'Tortured' In 'Eclipse'

Kristen Stewart had an 11-month break between finishing the shoot for "Twilight" in April 2008 and beginning "New Moon" last year. Production on "Eclipse" (opening June 30), though, kicked off just seven weeks after the conclusion of "New Moon." And when KStew returned to slip back into the character of Bella Swan, she found the vampire-loving teen had a new sense of purpose.
It was that resolve, Stewart reveals in Entertainment Weekly's summer movie preview issue, that made the character much easier to play. "I wasn't as tortured as I was on 'New Moon.' Bella really knows what she wants in 'Eclipse.' She's not just a dumb kid talking because she's in love."

That's not to suggest that playing a more-focused Bella was a breeze. Though the teen matures over the course of the story, graduating from high school and getting engaged to Robert Pattinson's Edward, at one point she is pulled back into the romantic embrace of Taylor Lautner's werewolf Jacob. That scene was difficult, both because Stewart sees Lautner as something of a younger brother and because she understands that Bella truly loves Edward.

"It felt really weird kissing someone else as Bella. I was like, 'What the hell are you doing?' " she said. "It was a really strange experience — as it should have been."

And then there's an experience that fans have been looking forward to for years — one not strange at all but rather a long time coming: Edward and Bella's engagement. Producer Wyck Godfrey said the scene will more than fulfill expectations. "She walks into Edward's room, and there's a beautiful four-poster bed, and it's like, 'Wow, here we go!' "

Alex Meraz Interview - Eclipse and Breaking Dawn

Transcript: Alex Meraz Interview - Eclipse and Breaking Dawn
Rebecca Murray from About.com Hollywood Movies at the Los Angeles Premiere of Warner Bros Pictures' Clash of the Titans.

Alex Meraz – 'Paul' in New Moon and Eclipse
What brings you to Clash of the Titans?

Alex Meraz: "I want to see Clash of the Titans in 3-D, Sam Worthington – awesome actor."

Are you into 3-D?

Alex Meraz: "You know what? I don't know. After I saw Alice in Wonderland I kind of was, yeah. So I think it's going to be pretty epic, seeing it in 3-D."

Why don't they do Twilight: Eclipse in 3-D?

Alex Meraz: "I don't know. I don't know. They might. I wouldn't hold out on it. I think what's cool about 3-D is it gives a new reason for people to come to the theaters and watch it. Because other than that, most people just want to stay home and watch on the big screens. But this is something different, you know, something you can only do here. And it's kind of a throwback to like the days of theater. You get to see it live. I'm just sad I missed This Is It - the Michael Jackson one. I could have had Michael Jackson dancing on my lap in 3-D."

Tell me about filming Eclipse. What was that like?

Alex Meraz: "It was really cold. I mean, raining again."

It's always raining on you guys.

Alex Meraz: "Always raining, shirtless…always, again. It was fun. We survived it. I think the bond between everyone grew a lot more. I hung out with Kristen [Stewart] more. You know, Rob [Pattinson's] just really cool and down-to-earth. We hung out a lot more with just everyone. I think it felt more safe; it felt more like a family so we had a good time. It was a little bit bizarre outside of set with a lot more people coming from overseas, like from Japan, from Russia..."

Fans coming from overseas?

Alex Meraz: "Fans coming from all over the world just to spot us at a bar, getting dinner. It was kind of weird, but it was still a really fun experience."

When you're just out getting a coffee at Starbucks, are people coming up to you all the time now?

Alex Meraz: "Not here. I think here people are looking for J-Lo or Brad Pitt. I don't think they really care about me here, but in Vancouver it's different. I've heard that in Vancouver when they start production of any of the Twilight films, that the economy goes up. And just tons of tourism just goes up. It's kind of crazy. I mean, we changed the economy there for Vancouver."

How was David Slade compared to Chris Weitz?

Alex Meraz: "David Slade, I think he's more of a…he's very technical guy, a very technical guy. I think he almost threatens of almost grabbing the camera himself and filming, because he's just…he always had a camera around his chest. He's taking pictures of everyone in really awkward close-ups. He'll get the lens right here and you're like trying not to look at him. But, he was fun. He was a cool guy. He had a different view of what he wanted to do, which was just fun for us as actors, just to play with something different. But he definitely stayed true to what Eclipse the book is, so I think fans are going to be real excited with what they see."

It sounds like it would be tough, though. You guys know your characters, and now you have a new guy coming in there to tell you what to do. That's got to be a little weird.

Alex Meraz: "You know, it feels like I feel more from him, not for us. I think for him, he's kind of like a father having to adopt children, you know? Because there was a certain amount of cast that he handpicked to play, and then there was us. He kind of really trusted that we knew our characters, we knew what we were doing so with that said he kind of let us do our thing. But you know he's the director so if he didn't like what we did, he's like, 'No, that wasn't right. Let's try it like this.' It was cool, though. It was fun."

Chris gave you guys all books. David didn't do anything like that, right?

Alex Meraz: "David didn't do anything like that. No, I think David he felt more like a filmmaker where Chris was more of a director, you know? David Slade was like a filmmaker. He's so worried about every component, with like special effects, what the camera's doing, what the lighting's doing. He has lots of hats, you know? He's not just kicking back looking at what the actors are doing. So that was fun for me to see, because I love filmmaking."

It would be an education.

Alex Meraz: "It totally was. He's so smart, so well-versed."

Have they told you when they're going to start shooting Breaking Dawn?

Alex Meraz: "No. There's speculation of it might not even shoot in Vancouver. I'm hearing all kinds of crazy things."

Why would they not shoot in Vancouver?

Alex Meraz: "I have no clue. I go online and I Google it. That's what I saw on the message boards so…"

Do you pay attention to all that stuff?

Alex Meraz: "No, my wife does."

Do you really?

Kim Meraz: "Guilty. I hone in on what his news is supposed to be about."

Are there sometimes you wish you hadn't read that?

Kim Meraz: "When it comes to you? Yeah, he's known for putting his foot in his mouth."

Alex Meraz: "I'm pretty flexible. My mouth…"

Do you want them to make it into two movies?

Alex Meraz: "Sure, why not? It's another job, you know what I mean? No, I think it has to with respect to what the book is. It's one book, but they're broken up into two sections, right? So there's so much, I think having it in one film wouldn't do it justice. I think two movies would be the best. Hopefully they do that. It'd be better. And why not let it live on longer, you know?"

And they're saying that Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola, all these Academy Award-nominated directors are thrown out there [to direct Eclipse].

Alex Meraz: "Bring it. Bring it!"

You're ready for a new guy to come in or a new girl?

Alex Meraz: "I'm a puppet, just do whatever you want."

Is there anything you did in New Moon that now, playing the character again, you wish you would have taken in a different direction? Or are you satisfied with the way that you played him in the first place?

Alex Meraz: "I mean, I've done a couple little indie films here and there, but you know seeing myself on the big screen like that…no, I wish I would have done a lot of different things."

Really?

Alex Meraz: "Yeah. But it was such a small screen presence anyways, I wasn't really that involved. It wasn't like the film was about me, so…"

But you know that it goes on and on, and gets bigger.

Alex Meraz: "Yeah, it does. I was totally happy with everyone else's performances. But me, I'm like, 'Oh god, I could have done something way different.' I was definitely proud of everyone else's performances. But, we'll see. Maybe I'll get better in the next one."

The Cullen Abilities

ReelEmpire was able to have the Cullen patriarch Peter Facinelli (aka Carlisle Cullen) as a guest at a question and answer session where he revealed interesting facts about his life, career and the "Twilight" movies.

"Peter reported that viewers were going to "see some action" in the third installment. "What I loved about Eclipse was that you get to see a side of Carlisle you haven't seen before. The Cullens have all these abilities, but they have to hide them most of the time." Obviously excited about finally getting the chance to display his awesome capabilities, he added, "There are some really great battle sequences in Eclipse."

Peter Facinelli discuss about Eclipse Movie fight scenes training

Recently the Peter Facinelli(Dr. Carlisle Cullen) made some interview in NewYork Magazine about him about his co star experience for the Eclipse Movie fight scene training they have:

"Ever since Taylor Lautner miraculously went from total weakling to strapping, eight-abbed man-beast during the short break between the shooting of the first two Twilight movies, his male co-stars have been inspired to play catch-up. Last night we ran into Peter Facinelli, who plays Carlisle Cullen (Robert Pattinson’s dad) in the series, at an absurdly long-named event in Los Angeles (Calvin Klein Collection & L.A. Nomadic Division Event in Support of L.A. Arts Month and ALAC, in case you were wondering). “I’m really excited about Eclipse — we did a lot of training for that movie, like six weeks of fight training,” he told us. “It was funny because it became almost like an in-house competition and everyone was always in the gym or working out. Sometimes we’d work out like three times a day. One time, I was in my apartment and I was going down to do my workout, and the elevator doors opened and Kellan Lutz was [in there] doing push-ups. I was like, ‘Okay, Kellan, you win! You win the competition!"

Its gonna be an explosive Eclipse Movie and fans at this point just cant wait.

Leah Gibson added to Eclipse Movie Cast

Another cast will fill up the Vampire lists for Eclipse Movie is added. Leah Gibson will play a role of Nettie as she will appear at Jasper's flashback scene. Probably she will have a short appearance in the upcoming film.

She is 1 out of 3 female vampire Lucy and Maria that Jasper will come across before he turned into a vampire.

She has some looks that will appear in Eclipse Movie as having a pale complexion and with a blond hair.

Well according to the book she will be killed by Jasper and Maria at the later part of Jasper's flashback scene. Lets us all watch out of it.

CTV News Canada considering Eclipse as most anticipated Movie for 2010

Recently CTV News Canada made some picks representing Canadians for the most anticipated movies for 2010. And Eclipse Movie was ranked number 3 of the 18 picks.

Get ready for more vampire love in 2010 as Stephenie Meyer's next "Twilight" installment hits theatres. This other-worldly outing finds Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) caught in the middle of an all-out war between the vampires and werewolves. Like the Harry Potter franchise, diehard "Twilight" fans know this story by heart. For them, nothing beats the sight of Robert Pattinson, "Twilight"'s 108-year-old vampire hunk, looking longingly at Bella. That alone should turn "Eclipse" into a killer at the box office.

Early Version Script of Eclipse Movie leaked

A not Final version of Eclipse Movie Script was leaked online, so it means it is a early version that has been revised by the Eclipse Movie Staff. According to EW " A purported script for Eclipse, Summit Entertainment’s third Twilight film, has landed on the Internet. The studio would not confirm whether the 112-page draft is authentic, but a source close to Summit tells EW that the document being circulated is not a final shooting script. The name of actor Jackson Rathbone (pictured) is watermarked onto the pages of the script. Rathbone’s manager did not respond to a phone call seeking comment. Last May, a draft for New Moon popped up online, and that sequel went on to earn $683 million worldwide (and counting).

The leak follows reports, denied by Summit, that the much-anticipated film screened for test audiences last weekend. Eclipse is set to release this June."

New Moon Casts as the celebrity of the year

The Hollywood Gossip just selected their Celebrity of the year for 2009.

For the last couple weeks, The Hollywood Gossip has looked back at 2009 by naming the finalists for our prestigious, 3rd Annual Celebrity of the Year award.

In this section, we've been paying tribute to the unique stars that made the past 12 months so memorable for gossip followers across the nation and globe.

Now, following last edition's selection of Miley Cyrus in the #2 spot, we've finally reached the top. Drumroll please...

For 2009, THG's Celebrity of the Year is... the New Moon cast!

Critics might say we're copping out by choosing more than one star for this honor, but come on. Everyone involved with the Twilight Saga deserves recognition for turning a book series into the most popular, buzzed-about film franchise in years.

This doesn't always happen. Remember The Golden Compass? Probably not. Starring Nicole Kidman, it was meant as the first installment in a trilogy based on Philip Pullman's His Dark Material novels. A second movie was never even made.

So, what enabled New Moon to gross over $660 million worldwide? A cast of young, fresh, gorgeous, talented and seemingly grounded individuals. Below, we note each actor's 2009 accomplishments:

Robert Pattinson
: Might as well start at the top. The British actor has grown into a global phenomenon. He can't walk away from a film set without being followed by countless paparazzi members, his every interaction with women is chronicled like it's a Presidential summit and he was named one of People's 50 Most Beautiful People of 2009.

Over the course of a few months, Pattinson covered Entertainment Weekly, Harper's Bazaar, OK! Weekly, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone. He's also dating...

Kristen Stewart: She broods, therefore she is. While Stewart had already appeared in a critically-acclaimed movie (Into the Wild) prior to landing the role of Bella Swan, she took on a cult following after her performance in New Moon. Millions of women around the world both love her and hate her for bagging Pattinson, but one thing is clear: they can't take their eyes off her.

Taylor Lautner: He dated Taylor Swift. He rarely wore a shirt. He was actually able to recruit girls away from Team Edward for Team Jacob, based on his bulked-up role in New Moon. Lautner has already signed on for two new movies and appears to have a huge career ahead of him.

Ashley Greene: The actress almost broke the Internet when naked photos of her were leaked online.

Nikki Reed
: Probably the least known main star of the franchise. But she's dating Paris Latsis, Paris Hilton's ex, and has been involved in numerous THG Fashion Face-Offs.

Kellan Lutz: Has the best young body in Hollywood and wants to be the next Jason Bourne. Has been involved with 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord and... did we mention his body?

There you have it. It's been an incredible year and we're grateful that so many readers joined us for the ride. We can't think of a better way to end 2009 than with a photo montage that honors these Celebrities of the Year. Click around, enjoy and come back in 2010 for so much more...

Well its a very blessed year for the NewMoon cast, with these it could bring more Spotlight for the upcoming Eclipse Movie this June of 2010.
