Twilight Saga
Some interesting facts regarding the upcoming Eclipse Movie(3rd sequel of the Twilight Saga) coming from the article of Rotten Tomatoes in which they have shared some expectation and could merely be a fact for the upcoming Eclipse Movie this June of 2010.
Ashley Greene who plays Alice Cullen for the upcoming Eclipse Movie is Maxim's Cover for December. Recently she celebrated at the Maxim launch party in New York for being a cover for the magazine and also talks about the Eclipse Movie.
On landing her first major role in Twilight:
“Oh, my God, I wanted this part so badly! I worked my butt off for it because I absolutely love Alice, my character. She’s sweet, sexy, and a killer! so when they told me I got it, I tried to play it all cool, you know, for about a minute. Because suddenly the Twilight blogs started picking it up, and then fans were there taking photos, and I’m on the news, and I was like, ‘What?’ And then I got really nervous.”
On the physical training for Eclipse:
“Yeah, I get to fight in Eclipse. My trainer is teaching me MMA right now. So. Cool. But I feel if I was in a real fight, I’d get my ass kicked...We’re just now moving up to more advanced stuff, toward being able to actually kick somebody’s ass. The problem is, I know tae kwon do, so I’m used to just sort of tapping for points when you kick, but MMA is a full knock-them-to-the ground follow-through.”
On what’s next:
“I want to hit up James Bond. That would be awesome."
According to Terri Schwartz in Commentary:
Unless you've been living under a rock the past few months, you'll know that a teensy little film called "New Moon" came out this past weekend and made a blockbuster-worthy $140 million in the past three and a half days. But most of that insane opening weekend appeal can be attributed to a year's worth of Twilighter fanaticism and marketing, and only time will tell whether "New Moon" can sustain its box office hold beyond just fan interest. In fact, most critics knocked the movie because it stayed so close to the book and didn't deviate enough to let those not familiar with "Twilight" in.
Enter "Eclipse." The third installment of "The Twilight Saga" has already finished filming and is slated for a June 30, 2010 release. It is arguably the best in the series (arguable because it is my favorite, obviously), but it is also the book that propelled Stephenie Meyer's novels into the insane popularity they now have. That's right; it was only two years ago that not everyone and their mother knew about Bella and Edward. There are a number of different elements that allow "Eclipse" to reach beyond the vampire/human love story appeal, so read beyond the jump to figure out why you (read: boys) might too be interested in this movie. Needless to say, spoilers lie ahead.
More of a focus on the supernatural elements of vampires and werewolves
I'm sure Bram Stoker rolled over in his grave when sparkly, vegetarian vampires became the newest blood-sucking craze. Sure it took her two very long books to get to it, but in "Eclipse," Stephenie Meyer finally delves into the history of her creatures and how they fit into the world as we know it. Which leads us to…
Backstories
Much of "Eclipse"'s length comes from the amount of time Meyer spends on explaining the backstories of her various secondary characters. The reason why vampires and werewolves hate each other is finally revealed, as is the history of the Cullen family. When we talked to Jackson Rathbone, he told us that flashbacks of Jasper's younger vampire days during the Civil War will make it into the film, while he is explaining to Bella (Kristen Stewart) the nature of…
Victoria's newborn vampire army
That's right, these vampires go on mass vampire-creating sprees. Turns out, newborn vampires in Stephenie Meyer's world are significantly more powerful than your average vampire, but also a lot more unreliable. Jasper learned all about this during the Civil War, when the vampire who turned him used him to help create her own newborn army. This time -- meaning the present-day of "Eclipse" -- it's both the Cullens and the Quileute wolf pack who have to face them in…
The final battle
Sure there's the ballet studio scene at the end of "Twilight," and the made-for-film fight between Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Felix (Daniel Cudmore) at the end of "New Moon" (and I won't even get into the mess of an ending in "Breaking Dawn"), but at the end of "Eclipse" there is a no-holds-barred epic battle between the Cullens and their werewolf allies against Victoria (now played by Bryce Dallas Howard) and her army. Granted, in the novel Bella is far from the battle being protected from Victoria by Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and Edward, but we're sure that will be remedied in the film. It will cut back and forth nicely with...
The tent scene
Maybe the boys won't like this one so much, but the tent scene from the "Eclipse" chapter "Fire and Ice" is the ultimate showdown between Edward and Jacob. Bella and Edward's sappy love in "Twilight" and the sexual tension-filled friendship between Jacob and Bella in "New Moon" come together in a great moment that even the most anti-"Twilight" female could enjoy. And probably even some of the guys too. Don't worry, I tell anyone you secretly liked it.
As expected the New Moon will truly hits the theaters, Many twilight fans now are so excited for the next movie which is Eclipse Movie which will be out this June of 2010.
On the red carpet at the NYC screening of New Moon some of your favorite Twilight stars shared some little about Eclipse Movie to the MTV that would really suprise the fans and puts them to a lot of excitement.
"I think Bella's little bit of treachery in the third one is going to be a good scene,"
"My favorite scene is the tent scene, where the three of us are together and its gonna be really funny, there's a lot of comedy in Eclipse,"
"Im looking forward to see the love triangle becoming a huge problem... ,I've always backed [Bella] up in her ultimate devotion to Edward, and to see that falter will be interesting,"
"Chris Weitz did a fantastic job.. to complete a different tone and completely different story did a very good job of giving us a transition into the next book,"
Ashley Greene who plays Alice Cullen in the Eclipse Movie just shared her thoughts for the third movie of the Twilight Saga franchise saying how much action Eclipse Movie would be and also told the MTV news about that she’s really excited about director, David Slade’s vision for Eclipse.
She stated, “He’s been really good.I’ve sat down and spoken to him and broken down the script a little bit. I definitely like his take on it. I think it’s going to be good.”
Ashley also said that David Slade is making “Eclipse” a darker movie. She stated, “I think it’ll be different. I think it’s going to be a battle between the studio and the director, and it’s going to be a hard balance, ’cause I think he’s … a little more focused on it being real and maybe it being gorier and a little dark and kind of dramatic.”
Ashley also added that “Eclipse” is going to have a lot more action in it,and explained that it will probably appeal to more of the guys than the first “Twilight” film because it’ll be less romantic.
She stated, “The first one was very focused on this love story and really sweet and it was beautiful, but it didn’t have a lot of stuff that guys would go, ‘Yeah, I want to go see that.’ There’s going to be a lot more focus on action, and the fight scene will have more emphasis on it. I definitely think it will be a little more guy-friendly.”
Ashley said that filming “Eclipse” is a lot more harder because she has to do more stunt work, and things of that nature. She stated, “Going into a movie, I’ve never had to work so hard with stunt training and personal training and stuff like that.”
In a recent interview with the vampire hunk Kellan Lutz who plays Emmett Cullen in the Eclipse Movie, he said the he is more excited for the Eclipse Movie then New Moon.
“Eclipse is a masculine movie,” Kellan Lutz says. “I love it. All the stunts I was able to do by myself. It’s an action movie!”
and he was stating that Eclipse Movie will drag more fans to the franchise.
“It’s going to be one of those movies where guys who aren’t fans of the Twilight series but like seeing a good kickass action movie are going to see it. And they’re going to bring their girlfriends who are anti-Twilight because they don’t want to be on that bandwagon,” Kellan Lutz explains. “Then they’re going to come and fall in love with it, too.”
Well for sure it is as Jackson Rathbone Eclipse Movie experience which recently he shared saying how action pack the film is that will truly bring more fans to the franchise.
Jackson Rathbone who plays Jasper Hale in the Twilight Saga Movies including Eclipse is recently caught up in an interview by MTV as he tells Bella about his past life before he met the Cullens as he will be having a large role in the Eclipse Movie as he is the only vampire among the Cullens who know how to combat the new born army of Victoria.
"It was just really fantastic to get to delve in there and to get to don all the Civil War regalia and whatnot. That was a pleasure," he said. "I had to wear this wool suit of a major, cavalry major. "I got the big hat and everything. Hop off the horse, bow to these ladies, and then I get eaten. And then I get turned!"
As the film goes Jasper will tell his story to Bella that seems to be longer conversation as what we see till here, where Jasper will be helping the Cullens prepare for to combat the newborn vampires of Vitoria. As we all know that it is Jasper who can handle this responsibility as will be seen on a flashback of Jasper training newborn vampires while he's still "a bad dude, a bad vampire."
Billy Burke who plays Carlie Swan in the film and the father of Bella revealed that there will be a cameo in Eclipse. It is someone from the 80's rockband who will play a Vampire in a flashback sequence. Well it has been confirmed that Peter Murphy lead vocals of the band Bauhaus will be for that role. He's playing a predecessor of the warring vampire factions. Started out as an old Spanish, sort of unrelated vampire, in a flashback sequence. Well for sure his addition will get more audience for the upcoming movie Eclipse not only for the teenage hearts but also for the oldies.
According to Peter Murphy's site he has confirmed the person for a cameo role.
"He came in for a cameo, and I was wildly excited about that," marveled Burke, who has his own musical career on the side from his acting. "I saw his name on the call sheet, and I had to give him a call and ask him to have some dinner with me, because I was a huge fan when I was growing up."
Here are some images on the set taken Vancity Allie in Eclipse Movie Set in Vancouver. As the scene goes that these Vampires arrive in Forks. These Vampires will be joining Riley and Bree created by Victoria as part of her newborn vampire army to avenge James' death. The looks of these new born vampires is scary enough to spice up for the upcoming Movie Eclipse.
Shots taken with Rosalie and Royce at Vancouver set of Eclipse when they where filming a scene as Rosalie was sharing her past to Bella Swan which leads to a flashback scene. The scene states how Rosalie turn into a vampire.
30 Days of Night Director David Slade was announced by Summit Entertainment as the new director of Eclipse Twilight 3 replacing Chris Weitz the director of New Moon as rumors say it is because of some conflicting agenda. He has been an experience director for such vampire movies but can he handle the balance with its love story?
